I m going to treat this collection, like I do when I review boxsets anthologies review each story within.A King Named Magnus I found this tale to be bitter sweet if you have yet to read Daughter of the Red Dawn you wont understand I love the Adrah of the future to read how she met fell in love with her king was beautiful Also reading about Adrah just as she accepts her crown becomes the Fae Queen, was wonderful, she is full of uncertanties, wondering if she is the Fae to lead her people The dynamics between Magnus Adrah at the start is what you would expect, but then who would want to meet the man they are to marry a fornight before I absolutely LOVED reading A King Named Magnus The Huntsman and IIn this tale, Alicia gives us a version of Snow White that answers alot of WHAT IF s like what would life be like after the prince kissed Snow awake after the wedding would Snow really live happily ever after what is the prince REALLY like In The Huntsman and I we find out exactly what happens how Snow s life is like after the deed, I wont give anything away, you will have to read this to find out for yourself, but I will say I LOVED the twist at the end but now I want to know the rest of the story. The Nymph QueenThis is the extended tale, a indepth tale from Child of the Sacred Earth what a tale this is, filled with a darkness that wasn t portrayed in the book I can honestly say I had tears at one point, poor Queen Ares life is filled with so much order has no purpose to it, then with the news from the prophets well she has no reason either Jack Grimm stops her at a time in her life when she s at her lowest Things progress you get to see a happy, carefree Ares but only for a time Thank you Alicia for giving us the entire tale, I loved it.Fallada s Last Stand The Fall of King MagnusUmmm I m not sure I want to read this but I ll go on Damn, what an emotional read this was, the tears just didn t have a chance to stop We got to see how the relationship between Magnus Adrah had blossomed, also we got to see a younger Rothatin how he became General advisor to Queen Adrah It wasn t during happy times either This was set just before the decission to seal Fallada from the world of men, it wasn t an easy task for those left behind We also got a glimpse of just how powerful Queen Adrah is, I d hate be on her bad side My overall experience reading the histories of Fallada was enchanting, I was enthralled by the stories within I LOVED every minute of them, including those parts that made me cry Now I can t wait to read what comes next in the series of The Lost Kingdon of Fallada.

Note I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review Fallada s Faerie Tales is a fascinating collection of tales about Alicia Michael s land of FalladaA KING NAMED MAGNUS is told in 3rd person POV, changing from Adrah Everstar, and her betrothed, Magnus.Adrah is in mourning Her father died 100 years ago, and her mother has just died, leaving her queen of Goldun, and she must marry the man her father chose for her She isn t happy about it.Meanwhile, Magnus is annoyed beyond belief He was happy, as a general of the army, and loves his life Now he has to marry a girl he s never met, who is probably a spoiled brat Besides, he s already met a girl he wishes he could marry. But when the two meet, nothing is as expected Can the two solve their differences, and become friends or even fall in love It s a wonderfully written story, and I d give it 5 s.THE HUNTSMAN AND I is told in first person POV, from the point of view of Snow White, about 7 years after being woken by Prince Charming Her life is a nightmare Her prince is a spoiled brat, her children are even worse, and nobody really cares about her except the man she loves, the Huntsman But she s trapped by her choices, and can t escape her life until she s offered a choice that could change everything. This story makes no sense Snow White is not a believable or likable character What kind of mother despises her children, dreams of spanking them to a pulp, and willing makes it so they d never be born So what if they re horrible They re SIX Ever think maybe they misbehave because they don t have a mother who loves them For that matter, what kind of man wants to marry a woman who hates her existing children I give it zero sTHE NYMPH QUEEN is told in 3rd person POV, switching points between Queen Ares of the Wood Nymphs and Jacob Grimm, with a little bit from King Endroth.Jake has been all over Fallada, but he s never seen the elusive wood nymphs When he finally meets the wood nymphs, he certainly isn t expecting to meet their queen or fall in love.Ares is trapped in an unwanted life Her husband beats her, she can t go anywhere, and she can t be herself All she wants is a child to love, but a seer has told her that she can t have a child in an unloving marriage She s ready to die, but then comes Jake, who turns her life upside down.Everything comes to a fascinating and unexpected conclusion, and we meet the origins of the famous prophecy of seven.I LOVE this story It s fun, fresh, and real I can feel Ares s pain, Jake s misery, even King Endroth s kindness Five stars FALLADA S LAST STAND THE FALL OF KING MAGNUS is told in 3rd person POV, showing Rothatin Longspear, King Magnus, and Queen Adrah.Rothatin comes from a long line of army generals, but he doesn t think he has it in him He wants to be with Anir, a female Faerie soldier, but his father won t let, saying that she s beneath him He isn t ready for true war, but it s coming too fast to stop.Queen Adrah and King Magnus know what s coming They are prepared for nearly every outcome but this one they never could have expected But even in the face of tragedy, an unspeakable choice still must be made and can Fallada survive This is a great story, although much sadder than the others My only issue is that the story doesn t quite follow what it says in the other Fallada books I give it 4 s.

The three tales in this book take place before the Fallada series In these, you learn about Rothatin, Adrah and Jacob Grimm all of whom are very important to Fallada I had originally fell in love Fallada back when I read Through the Iron Gates and was hooked from the very start Alicia writes these stories so that you taken far away to Fallada and are a part of the tales that are unfolding in front of you I loved reading about Adrah became queen, how Jacob fell in love with a Wood Nymph and how Rothatin became who he is If you haven t already read the Fallada stories, this is a great place to start You will not be disappointed

Nice little fairy tale prequelsGood backstory on some of the main Falladian characters who ve been around for a few centuries Definitely makes Adrah Rothatin compelling, sympathetic, nuanced characters And it was sweet to read Jake Grimm s love story.
