I found it difficult to rate in stars For its honesty, as a piece of history, and in the quality of the writing it is worth 5 stars, so I have gone with that But it is not an easy read In places the text is dense with facts and acronyms that slowed down this reader s understanding, and for that aspect I would give it less than 5 stars However I was determined to read the entire book in order to better understand how a likeable and respected neighbour s life panned out in the services The author warned me beforehand that his book was aimed at service people Are you sure you want to read it...
